James Al-Shamma is associate professor of theatre at Belmont University. He is author of Sarah Ruhl: A Critical Study of the Plays and is coeditor and cotranslator of the two-volume Contemporary Plays from Iraq. Al-Shamma lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
