J. H. Stape, Professor of English at Japan Women’s University in Tokyo, has edited Woolf’s Night and Day in the Shakespeare Head Press edition of her works. Author of E. M. Forster: A Chronology and coauthor of Angus Wilson: A Bibliography, 1947-87, he has also edited E. M. Forster: Interviews and Recollections and written frequently on Conrad and the modern novel.
